I think the Easter Bunny provided more candy than going door to door trick-or-treating (although records show that Halloween sells more candy than Easter). I think our candy stash is going to last for quite some time (especially since I have a strict candy rule at our house). So... with my curiousity and Jadyn's love for math- we decided to see how much candy we actually had. First we weighed the candy 3lbs 12.7oz + 2 5oz bunnies = 4.4lbs of candy!
Then we sorted all the candies (Ashton helped with this part... Jadyn was busy counting ladybugs on her Easter bucket). We made piles of Twizzlers, assorted foil wrapped chocolates (Crunch, Hershey, and Dove), Skittles, Starbursts, marshmallow treats (including Peeps), Sponge Bob Gummy Krabby Patties, Kit Kits, Twixes, Kisses, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups & eggs, M&Ms, Whoppers, Sweet Tart type candy, jelly beans, and assorted egg/bean shaped candies (I think they were malt balls and chocolates). So those were our groups:

And here are the results:
Twizzlers: 10
Assorted foil wrapped chocolates: 39*
Skittles: 4
Starbursts: 12
Assorted marshmallows: 13
Sponge Bob Gummy Krabby Patties: 33
Kit Kats: 3
Twix: 8
Hershey Kisses: 2
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups & eggs: 32
Oh, and two bunnies!
M&Ms: 3
Whoppers: 2
Sweet Tart like candy: 2
Jelly Beans: 24
Assorted egg/bean shaped chocolates: 32
*I was going divide this category into Crunch, Hershey's and Dove, but Ashton didn't want to do that (oh, well).
So, the assorted foil wrapped chocolates won! However, there were 3 kinds of chocolates in that group. So the winners are one of my favorites... Reese's!! And tied for the least amount were Hershey Kisses, Whoppers, and the Sweet Tart like candy.
219 pieces/packages of candy + 2 bunnies
WOW!
(This doesn't include the candy that Jadyn got at preschool last week or the candy that we already ate)

I did not receive one piece of candy for Easter. I must be an adult :)
You can have as MUCH of our candy as you want :)
Oh, and I didn't get any candy either- this is all the kiddos.
We'll have to have adult Easter baskets next year.
