My last post was over 5 years ago!  I'm not gonna delete the blog... yet. But obviously I don't blog about the family much anymore. So if you want to keep up with the Masbruch Fam, check out my Facebook or Instagram.

New Year's Eve

It's been a tradition for a few years now to bring in the New Year at the Discovery Center.  Watch our New Year's countdown here.
Oh, and the younger two even made it in the Rockford Register Star!

Christmas!

You know what?  This Christmas I didn't even bring the camera out.  Well, I had my phone, but... I really didn't take many pictures this year. Why?  Cause I was sick.  I felt miserable during Christmas. I even took nap while the Masbruchs went to a Christmas Eve service.  I survived the holidays though. And Brad took good care of me and EVERYTHING else. So here's a few pictures for you from my phone :)  Hope you all had a great Christmas!

Christmas Eve, Grandpa Masbruch reading the Christmas story to the grandkids.
 Fruit and veggies for Santa!
Pure excitement.  Ha! Love this face :)
Love this face too!
Traditional Christmas pull.
  Merry Christmas!

Some Christmas fun at the log home

Here's some highlights!
There was a lot of coloring- by everyone!
This is a very rare sight so I had to capture it- Brad petting a dog!
The kids' Snoopy houses.  And yes, Petyon's Snoopy is laying down in his own blood.  What a morbid child :)
Frozen cupcakes!
We watched Frozen while making our houses.  This year's houses were made of pretzel rods and sticks instead of gingerbread kits.
Dad went solo with his log home building.  Christina and Mom ended up making a... pig pen.  Yup, a pig pen. With a pig and all.
Team Nadia and Ashton. Team Morgan and Jadyn and Team Kimberly and Peyton. I more supervised :)  I kinda helped Kimberly, but not sure if I want to take any credit for that creation.  Ha! Oh, and Brad and Brian... that were out watching hockey (I think it was hockey?!).
Kimberly's house... going, going, gone.  But in her defense- she was the only one to not use a glue gun.  All icing and taffy holding this thing up.
The pig pen and piggy with his food and water!  Very creative!
Dad's log home!
Nadia and Ashton's cute house! Don't tell the kids, but Brad and Brian voted this one as the winner.
And last but not least, Morgan and Jadyn's house!
And some crafts were done too (sorry, forgot to take pictures of the projects once finished)... wow, how did we fit this all into one weekend?!!
Oh, and how forget the singing... Dominic the Donkey was a HUGE hit for the weekend! Check this out!

Peyton's Christmas Program

You know the drill by now... check back later for video of some cute singing!
Peyton and the Peyton tree!
And I forgot to get a picture of Peyton with Mrs. Benson... dang it!

Whitehead Winter Program

Okay- I'm so behind in blog posts... so these photos aren't even going to be cropped or edited (sorry). And come back later and I might have their songs posted.  They did a super cute job!  Oh, and the highlight was hearing a mother shout out during the performance, "Hey, I can't see my kid!"
The kindergartners!
The second graders!
Ha! This is Jadyn's "Aunt Stina you need to go back to your seat" face :)

Lucia and Tomte Breakfast

Jadyn had a great time being a part of the Lucia choir again this year.  And she did a fantastic job (check back later and I might have the video posted)!
This year's Lucia (Hannah) with the kiddos.

Peyton was afraid to go near anyone cause there were tomtes walking around, but she was safe with Grandma Sandi.
Past and present Lucia choir members sang during the Breakfast with Tomte. Jadyn gladly dragged Morgan up with her.
Danging around the tree- the kids are in there somewhere!
Peyton and her preschool's monkey Belle.  She got to take Belle home for the weekend and she had quite the weekend.
Peyton, Lucia and Belle!

Preschool fun

Aunt Kimberly and Peyton had a great time making a gingerbread house at preschool. And how could you not have a great time with this crazy child!? :)
Aunt Kimberly couldn't really help because someone was very opinionated about how she wanted her house :)
Ta Da!
Peyton and some of her crazy classmates.
Thanks, Aunt Kimberly for coming to preschool!
