Mud on the Tires

With the rain coming down and seeing the fairgrounds start to pool and flood... I knew the parking lot was going to be a disaster at the end of the night. If any of you don't know the Boone County fairgrounds, the parking lot at the back entrance is just a grassy field. And by the end of the night, it was just mud. Scott and I heading out to our vehicles and had everyone wait for us. No way we could push the stroller through that mud. Scott got his van out with no problems. Meanwhile, I'm trying to get Brad's Equinox to start (lately the key hasn't been working). I finally get it started, but I can't move cause there is a car stuck in the mud behind me. They were stuck for quite some time... I was not looking forward to my turn to pull out. Scott came to check on me. I told him that my delay was simply because I was trying to start the car, but I still wanted him to pull out of the parking lot instead of me. So we rolled down the windows to see, backed up into open spot and the plan was to then gun it. But we got stuck. And while we were stuck, mud was flying. There was mud on roof and there was even mud inside car. Well, we finally got out of the mud and I knew we must have been dirty cause I heard a group of kids say, "whooaa, look at the truck!"

Even after driving from the fairgrounds to my parents, mud was still dripping off. Next day, still muddy. And even some of glops of mud were still wet.I guess that's what happens, Brad, when you take my mini van away for the weekend :) FYI: Ashton tattled on you a lot this weekend, "Daddy took Mommy's van!"
