For being the end of July, this camping trip was a little colder than we expected, but that didn't stop us from having fun at the Lena KOA! It was a first time at a KOA and definitely not our last... this campground is perfect for families. The kids loved the bounce pillow, the playground, the swimming pool, the "hey" ride and playing with all of their new friends. Oh, and the general store there had everything we forgot to pack- phew!
On Saturday, they turned the bounce pillow into a giant slip-n-slide (covered it with soap and water). Jadyn did the slip-n-slide once and decided it was a little too cold for her.
Even Peyton took a turn. I asked her if she had fun- "yeah" and do you want to do it again- "no." :)
At dinner Saturday night, the kids were sitting down in their chairs with their plates on their laps... Poor Peytie tried to copy them- which meant she had to keep her legs straight out in order to keep her plate up. She lasted quite awhile; we were impressed.
Under that towel is Jadyn- she was cold (she was playing on the iPad too so it's not actually as pathetic as it seems).
The crop-duster that kept going over the campground and our little planes :)
And... since Brad said I couldn't include this video- I am going to include it :) I sang this song the entire weekend (and several days prior to going and several days after as well).
Kacey Musgraves- "My House"
"Any KOA is A-OK as long as I'm with you"
