Discovery Center's "Countdown to Fun"

This year we celebrated New Year's Eve at the Discovery Center- "Countdown to Fun."  But before we celebrated we had to play a little bit :)

And then we had to make our 2013 party hats!

And bells and more crafts!

Then we waited for the ball and confetti to drop!  We counted down to 1pm- bringing in the New Year for Pakistan.  They also dropped the ball and confetti at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm (and then they had a "contest" to see who could pick up the most).

Confetti!!!

 And we rang in the New Year again at 8pm (with Rio de Janeiro) by throwing confetti (bird seed) outside on the front porch.  And of course yelling "Happy New Year" loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear us :)
