Brad was in Arizona for almost two weeks (for work). It's not the same without him- we LOVE having Daddy around!! To help make it easier on the kiddos (especially Jadyn who has a better understanding of what's going on), we blogged about what we did while Daddy's gone and took pictures for him. So heere's what happened while Daddy was gone...
Day 1: Monday, August 20th
Jadyn was in tears after we got home from dropping Brad off at the bus stop. While Skypeing with Daddy she told him, "I want you home now!" Ashton doesn't quite understand how long Daddy will be gone. In the afternoon he came running upstairs, "Is Daddy here?!?"
Highlights of the day: We went to Benson Stone with Grandma Sandi, Grandpa Bob, Michelle, Brandon, Meagan, Aaron, Evan, Kimberly, Morgan, and Nadia. Then went grocery shopping with everybody. In the evening, Grandma Sandi and Grandpa Bob stopped by to hang out for a bit.
Day 2: Tuesday, August 21st
Highlights of the day: We ran errands with Grandma Sandi and Grandpa Bob, followed by lunch at McDonald's. Jadyn made a chain for her and Ashton to count down the days until Daddy gets home. In the evening, Aunt Kimberly, Morgan, and Nadia made pink and green cupcakes with the kiddos!
Day 3: Wednesday, August 22nd
Jadyn keeps asking if Brad's at work- she really wants to Skype with him. I think she'd do it all day if he was available! It is VERY important that she doesn't miss her chance to talk (and see) Daddy!
Highlights of the day:We took the van back to the repair shop. We stayed home most of the day and took it easy. The kids enjoyed a couple new (free) apps on the iPad. And Grandma Sandi and Grandpa Bob brought Lino's pizza over for dinner! Yum!
Day 4: Thursday, August 23rd
Highlights of the day: We went to the Cufr's, swam in the pond and played in the sand with Grandma Sandi, Aunt Michelle, Brandon, Meagan, Aaron, Evan and Nadia! Jadyn also got to meet her teacher and see her classroom tonight during the school's ice cream meet and greet.
A week from today Daddy will be home!! It's getting harder on the kids... me too!

Day 6: Saturday, August 25th
Highlights of the day: We played at Grandma Sandi's and had ice cream. We got our van back!!!! And in the evening, we went to the City Market with Aunt Kimberly and Aunt Christina.
Kiddos really miss their Daddy. Jadyn's demanding that he comes home today! I don't blame her. We are all ready for him to be home.
Highlights of the day: Aunt Christina came over for a nice low key day. Pancakes for lunch and Maciano's for dinner- yum!
Day 7: Sunday, August 26th

Highlights of the day: We had lunch at McDonald's with Grandma & Grandpa Masbruch and Aunt Tina. Then they took the older kiddos to Monkey Joe's for the afternoon. And in the evening we went out for an "Ice Cream Run" with Grandma Sandi, Grandpa Bob, the Watersons and Christina.
Day 8: Monday, August 27th
Highlights of the day: Jadyn's first day of kindergarten!!! Does it get more exciting than that?!
Day 9: Tuesday, August 28th
Highlights of the day: Jadyn's first full day of kindergarten (7:45am-2:15pm). Followed by a low key evening.
Day 10: Wednesday, August 29th
Highlights of the day: Jadyn had another day of school. It was another pretty low key day (kids need to adjust to the new schedule).
Day 11: Thursday, August 30th
Highlights of the day: Jadyn had another great day at school. We went out for ice cream at Cold Stone (Yay BOGO coupon!!). And it's our last night until Daddy comes home!
Day 12: Friday, August 31st- DADDY COMES HOME TODAY!
Highlights of the day: Well, that's an easy one... Daddy's home!!!
