Ashton's Dedication

Brad and I both realize that Ashton is a gift that God has entrusted us. And today we had Ashton Allen dedicated! We weren't putting it off, but our schedules just never worked with the previous dedications. So finally, at ten months, Ashton was dedicated. But in no means does that mean he's been without loving prayer from his family. We pray and thank God often for our two precious gifts! Having them is a great blessing and a great responsibility! We sincerely appreciate the support we have received from our families & friends; and we ask that you continue to help us. It is so great to know that we have loving, caring, friends and families that are Christ followers... that are there to set an example for our children! We are so blessed! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Ashton's dedication!

One of the really special things are church does is focus on the meaning of child's name. They share the meaning of your child's full name, combine the meanings and share a specific verse for you child.
Here's our baby boy:

Ashton- Settlement in the ash tree grove. The ash tree provides shade, Allen- Handsome
Handsome one whom God shields and protects.
Psalm 121:5, The Lord protects you; the Lord is a shelter right by your side.

Here's us with all the other families that had their children dedicated.

You can see it in Ashton's eyes- he's been sick all week (maybe you can see it in Brad and I too!).

The Family :) Ashton was so tired and worn out after the dedication. So glad he survived the dedication without any tears; poor guy's been sick all week (along with the rest of us). Jadyn got a special book (You are Special) from her Aunt Kimberly :) Ashton woke up just in time to celebrate at Stockholm Inn! Mmm- Swedish Pancakes!
"How big is Ashton!?!"
